When, where and how does it happen? How does a perfectly functioning pen left at peace on the study table, suddenly vanish only to be found comfortably idling around on the ground in the company of one of the four legs of dining table?
And no it didn't start with the pen,it started way back with those little colourful tutty fruity smelling erasers, those long natraj pencils..or camlin may be..Remember.. what happened to them ? As if they had an auto lifetime counter associated with them..these pencils...by the time they reached half their age, they were gone. And those erasers..they managed their act in a blink!
And also those pins ..poor pins by sheer burden of their name they consider it their moral duty to be lost..hair pins, safety pins, cloth pins. Ever tried keeping a count?
And those hair bands, how can we forget them ..some of them are kind enough to show up..but only after the new bunch has arrived!
I scream conspiracy!! As if humans weren't enough for humans that these little objects need to throw their weight around too! Yes we are your slaves we agree....now would you please care to stay where left!
PS: This post is result of the time i spent looking for my pens .all of which have suddenly gone missing!

The number of markers and pencils I accidentally bring back from work for my bedtime reviews and QC work add up to atleast 2 -3 dozen/ annum :) Every safai abhyan i promise myself this is the last time it is happening, yet it happens every after year.
ReplyDeletelol you need a kid. my little one has taken it upon herself to be a pen (and every other tiny object that gets lost) detective and religiously brings me something she's found every few minutes!
ReplyDeleteThe american law wont treat any one of you differently ..one for stealing office supply and other for child exploitation .LOL!
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand i never thought that side of having a kid.I can imagine how adorable she would look doing that..it must be a cute sight :).
